Convert FrontPage to Dreamweaver
Here are the basic instruction to set-up a new JSM-Hosting website using Dreamweaver and to create a Dreamweaver template.

Setting-up a website with Dreamweaver
- For a new website, you must first create with Windows Explorer a folder on your local disk in which your website will be developed, as well as a dummy index.htm file (file- new - text document - rename it index.htm).
- Open Dreamweaver.
In the top menu, click: "Site - New site...", select the "Advanced" tab.
- Select "Local Info" in the left menu:
- Site name: the name you want Dreamweaver to call this website
(typically "yourdomain.ext")
- Local root folder: Select the folder on your local disk in which your local website is being developed (for a new website, the one created in 1. above)
- HTTP address: "http://www.yourdomain.ext" (see here)
- Check the "Cache enable" and "Refresh local file list automatically" boxes.
- Select "Remote Info" in the left menu:
- Access: FTP
- FTP host:
"yourdomain.ext" (or "yourIPaddress" - see here)
- Host directory: "www/" or
"public_html/"
- Login: "your-user-name" (the username you were given when opening your JSM-Hosting account - see here)
- Password: "your-password" (the password you were given when opening your JSM-Hosting account - see here)
- Check the following boxes: "save", "use passive FTP", "maintain synchronization information"
- Finally, click on "Test" to ensure that your FTP info is correct.
- Select "Site map layout " in the left menu:
- Home page: the index.htm file in the root directory of the folder in which your your website is being developed
- Click the "OK" button. You're done!
